Online Dog Training with Sit Drop Stay Dog Behaviour & Training

Our online dog training service offers a level of convenience like no other. In the wake of the the country’s Covid-19 health crisis, there was no better time for us to offer virtual services across Australia.

If you are one of the many people spending more time at home, you are likely doing so with your dogs. So, why not make the most of it and tackle those behavioural problems you have been desperately wanting to. Like with children, a dog’s early years are the most formative of their life. Thus, if you have decided to bring home a new family member, it is crucial that you obtain the knowledge and skills to be able to properly train them.

Sit Drop Stay offer phone and video consults via Skype and Zoom. This allows us to provide clients with general advice, address behavioural concerns, and tackle any other issues together.

The benefits of our online dog training

Our online dog training approach is not something that can be taught through a YouTube tutorial. No human on this planet is the same, nor is any dog. Which is why we focus on tailoring their training to their unique personality, and your specific needs as their owner.

After learning about your dog and the behaviour changes you want to see, we will customise a training plan to suit you. We will then arrange a Skype or Zoom call, allowing us to explain and demonstrate techniques before letting you take the reins.

Our unique methods focus on changing behaviour through reinforcement based on state of mind. A simple command to teach a physical action is not sustainable, nor can you extrapolate it across all desired behaviour changes. Becoming more in touch with your dog’s emotions will make them more responsive and well-behaved overall.

Our Dog Training Behaviour Process

Step 1.

We start out with an introductory phone consultation with our Central Coast based dog trainer, who will ask you some preliminary questions to find out what your individual needs are.

Step 2.

Our trainer will come out to your home, or other place of your choosing, to conduct an initial one on one session with you and your dog that is tailored to your specific needs. Taking into consideration your current lifestyle, who else is in the family, your dog’s temperament and the outcome that you want to achieve they will put together a formula that’s right just for you.

Step 3.

If further consultations are required we will come back and address any continuing issues and ensure that you have all the tools you need for a rewarding relationship with your dog based on loving leadership and true connection.

Online dog training with a difference

While puppy training or dog obedience group classes offer invaluable lessons in fun and social enrichment, they are not useful when the aim is to achieve a specific behavioural change. At Sit Drop Stay, we exclusively offer one-on-one classes for that very reason.

Training your puppy or dog at home or in a familiar environment comes with added benefits. Their training can be more easily integrated with their everyday life, making for faster and more consistent outcomes. Although we call them one-on-one classes, we invite and encourage your other family members to join too! This will allow us to see how your dog reacts differently to varying tones and body language. It will also ensure that ongoing level of consistency as you continue the training beyond our virtual sessions. Make the most of this extra time together with our online dog training service.
